2026 marks a significant evolution in the Lotus Caravans line-up. Each year, we strive to build on our previous releases, listening to Lotus Caravans customers, drawing on real-life experiences traversing rough tracks and remote destinations, and learning from the challenges avid Australian caravanners tackle on their everyday adventures. 

We knew it was time to shift gears. Founder George Josevski and Industrial Designer Rob Laiacona spent months in the design studio researching, refining, reiterating, and refining again. The team was confident in their vision for a bold, militarised look that solved functionality and durability while introducing a unique aesthetic unlike anything seen before in the market. 

2026 signalled the right time to introduce that change, and today, we’re proud to present what we believe to be the most premium off-road caravan range in Australia. “It’s truly built for the user experience and to enhance comfort and practicality”, Rob says. Tried and tested, and proven to elevate every journey, each model in the new, tightened and reengineered range speaks to a different style of traveller and their needs both on and off the beaten path. 

The New Off-Road Caravan Range

Offering 4 signature models, the new off-road Lotus Caravans range delivers a progression of specifications to meet every requirement set out by our customers. The range starts with the new lighter-weight Off Grid and the base-level Trooper. The next step is the Trooper TRX, featuring a premium suite of tech, fixtures, and finishes, and then the Trooper Platinum, standing at the head of the hierarchy as the most premium off-road caravan in the new range. 

It’s a refined collection that truly meets the market. Every model is constructed with a full AL+ aluminium frame, fibreglass walls, honeycomb flooring and Sancell insulation, and includes a collection of LC Customs upgrades as standard. 

TROOPER PLATINUM

Built for travellers who know exactly what they want, the Trooper Platinum represents the ultimate expression of Lotus Caravans’ engineering. Available in 6 different floor plans, ranging in size from 20’6” to 24’5”, it offers unrivalled luxury for family, couple, and solo caravanners. 

Feature-packed to beat any other possible competitor at its price point, the Trooper Platinum delivers power, performance and polish in perfect balance, setting a benchmark other caravans aspire to reach. With a 900Ah Redarc battery, 2x 3000W inverters, 1450W of solar, and 335L of water,  it offers almost limitless off-road capabilities.

TROOPER TRX

Purpose-built for long stretches of travel across Australia’s toughest tracks, the new Trooper TRX combines upgraded power systems, enhanced durability, and polished interior styling for travellers who prefer to live life on the edge of the map. It’s available in both family and two-berth options, with a massive selection of 20 different floor plan layouts from 18’9” to 24’6”, to suit every kind of intrepid adventurer. 

Like the Platinum, the Trooper TRX is feature-rich, fitted with our customers’ most requested upgrade components as standard. This is the Trooper, elevated, finished with the newest advancements in technology, suspension and functionality, without the weight of some of the more luxurious additions included in the high-end Platinum. With a 600Ah Redarc battery, 2x 3000W inverters and 1250W of solar, it’s unlikely you’ll ever run out of juice, no matter how long you’re off-grid.

TROOPER

Refined for 2026, the Trooper brings proven toughness together with next-generation upgrades across power, performance and interior refinement. It’s been our signature model for more than 10 years, an Australian best-seller year after year, and in 2026, the Trooper remains the benchmark for off-road caravanning in Australia.

The base model Trooper takes up the space created from the changes made to the previous Off Grid and Freelander rigs. It’s available in 20 different ergonomically-designed floor plans, ranging in size from 18’9” to 24’6”, with 9 layouts for families, 11 for couples and solo travellers, and options for built-in work stations for those working and studying on the road. 

The new Trooper thrives where others falter. Its strengthened electrical system, with 400A Redarc Batteries and a 3000W inverter, and advanced off-grid capability with 850W of solar, gives you the power, freedom and reliability to keep going, no matter how far the track stretches. With premium, newly upgraded finishes and thoughtful design, every day on the road is easy, more comfortable and more enjoyable.

OFF GRID

The Off Grid is now our most compact and light-weight off-road model. It carries the DNA of some of our best-selling caravans from years past, including the now-discontinued Freelander and LCX, and is designed specifically to suit those chasing a lighter tow load. It comes in 7 different layouts for families, couples and solo caravanners, ranging from 17’9” to 21’.

The 2026 Off Grid is built for travellers who want serious off-road performance without the heavy tow, opening up more places for more people. With a 300Ah Redarc Battery, 3000W inverter, 750W of solar, and 240L of water, it delivers power, protection, and practicality for weekend trips and long hauls. Still feature-packed, still hyper luxurious, the Off Grid is a great example of Lotus Caravans’ signature styling in a smaller and lighter package.
