We’ve been conducting a poll here at Lotus caravans to establish why owning a caravan is important to people.

As you probably already know, we’re big caravan and camping lovers, but our reasons for caravanning aren’t necessarily the same as everyone else’s. 

Over a period of several years we have managed to build up a fantastic online community on our Facebook page, where customers and staff alike share stories and photos from their many adventures. So with such a fantastic audience at hand, we asked everyone there what they felt the most important reason to own a caravan is.

Now the results are in.

The number one reason for why our Lotus Caravans Facebook community owns a caravan (or several caravans!) is the ability they give you to travel to new places.

The second most popular reason to own a caravan was escaping from the routine of the everyday - we all need it sometimes! And in a very close third place was having the freedom to relax.
