Lotus Caravans Welcomes Trip In A Van to the Ambassador Stable

We’re delighted to announce our newest Lotus Caravans ambassadors, the caravanning veterans and YouTubers, Trip in a Van. A family of explorers, adventurers, and advocates for off-road caravanning, we’ve long followed the travels of Justin, Bec, Jack, Billy, and Charli Lorrimer as they’ve shared their experiences traversing Australia. Now, we’re proud to have the Lorrimers join our Ambassador family as they continue their travels in their Lotus Caravans Trooper while imparting their wisdom for life on the road, and their passion for off-road exploration.

“We have been around the industry for a few years now and have had the privilege of testing out a few brands along the way. Joining Lotus Caravans allows us to team up with a leader in the field of off-road caravanning while continuing to learn about the products on offer in this space.”

The Lorrimer family bring a world of practical exposure and knowledge to Lotus Caravans. What started as a long-held dream of life on the road became a reality in 2015 when Justin, a former Royal Australian Airforce Mechanic, and Bec, an ex-RAAF Medic, packed up their lives in the Hunter Valley for a new path making memories with their children while exploring Australia full-time. 

Now 8 years in, Trip in a Van are influencing Australians to consider giving up the daily grind for a life of alternative proportions. “Travelling Australia is something we have always wanted to do” they said. “We wanted a better life, time with our kids as they grow up way too quick. Little did we know how beneficial it would be for them – and for us.”

Having tested various brands in the industry, the Trip in a Van gang recognised Lotus Caravans not only as an industry leader but as a family-owned business and a brand with shared values for cultivating the rich memories that family travel fosters. Choosing and designing their dream 22ft Lotus Caravans Trooper has made their experiences on the road even more fulfilling.

“This year, our travels will revolve around the kids’ school terms. We have trips planned for school holiday itineraries and hitting the Big Red Bash in Birdsville in July. We will keep the van packed and sneak away for 4-day weekends wherever possible.”
